What issues informal learners of programming encounter?

 Fear. They would not try. They would not ask. No one like to be humiliated being fool. 

Uncertainty. They do not know. And do not have enough information to make a decision. 

Alone. Isolated learninig experience is a barrier. 

Frustration. When you cannot , or do not achieve , or feel time wasted , this is what it feels. 

Self-efficacy. This can be affected positively and negatively with the experience. If your experience is charictized by the 4 ones above , you may feel not good enough for this task. Which will lead to more frustration and fear and uncertainty and not wanting to share and socialize on this.
